What's included

  • Monthly review of AI-generated changes before problems calcify
  • Dependency and secret hygiene: updates, rotations, and the patches that actually matter
  • Pre-release checks on the changes you are about to ship
  • Priority incident response during working hours, so when something breaks you skip the queue
  • Add-on: 24/7 on-call coverage from me or my team
  • Add-on: ongoing feature development at retainer-preferred rates

Who this is for

You keep shipping with AI tools, which is the whole point of them, but nobody senior looks at what goes out, and you can feel the risk quietly compounding.

  • You ship weekly with Cursor or Claude Code, and review is whatever the AI says about itself.
  • Deploy anxiety is back three months after everything was cleaned up.
  • You want incident coverage without hiring a full-time engineer you don’t need yet.
  • You’ve been through a rescue, here or elsewhere, and you’d rather never need another one.

What happens

The retainer is a monthly rhythm, not a block of hours to burn down.

Every month: I review what changed in your codebase, especially the AI-generated changes, and flag what’s drifting toward trouble while it’s still cheap to fix. Dependencies get updated deliberately, secrets get rotated on schedule, and the patches that actually matter get applied.

When you’re about to ship something significant: send it over first. A pre-release check takes me far less time than an incident takes both of us.

When something breaks: you skip the queue. Priority response during working hours means you’re not explaining your architecture to a stranger at the worst possible moment. I already know your codebase, because I look at it every month.

You get a short written note each month: what was reviewed, what was fixed, what’s being watched.

Add-ons, priced with your retainer

24/7 on-call coverage. The base retainer covers priority response during working hours. If your app needs someone answering at 3 a.m., because you have real users in other time zones and revenue that never sleeps, round-the-clock on-call from me or my team is available as an add-on, scoped to your stack and traffic.

Ongoing feature development. Retainer clients can add feature work at retainer-preferred rates. This is the only place I offer it, and the reason is practical: the retainer keeps me current with your codebase, so building in it stays fast and safe. If you just want a feature built with no relationship around it, I’m the wrong shop, and I’ll say so.

What you walk away with

Every month you get reviewed changes, clean dependencies, checked releases, and a paper trail. The less visible part is that you stop bracing every time the deploy runs.
